We need a basic website designed for a childrens nursery. It will be a static website using good CSS/XHTML practices to seperate layout from content, so we can easily update the content later and ensure the layout remains intact. We will supply all of the text, the schools logo as well as some scanned images of work the children have done. Any additional graphics will be supplied by the coder, although we do not want it to be too full of graphics - just a good clean site, easy to navigate and quick to load. A few suitable, low key graphics where required to compliment the text. The site is to be aimed at parents, not the children, so although it should reflect that fact that it is advertising a nursery school (3 to 5 year old children), it should not be "childish" as such. The main purpose of the site is to attract new parents to place their children at this school, so it needs to be professional, informative and attractive to prospective parents. The site will consist of the following five pages, all with a common look and feel: Homepage - A general welcome and overall introduction, not too much text, an easy to view page that will attract visitors to explore further. Also, it is our 40th birthday in 2008, so a nice graphic depicting this would be good. About - All about the school, when it was formed, how it has grown, who runs it and why, etc. Some graphics supplied by us of work children have done interspersed with the text. Foundation - Information all about the "foundation stage" of childrens development - what is important and why. Policies - Details of the schools admission policies, rules, prices, etc. Contact - Contact details, including a form allowing viewers to contact us - the form will call a PHP script that will send the data - we will provide the PHP script. Thanks for looking, please place your bids!
