Project Description

I want to be able to extract data on request from 3 sportsbetting websites and place this data in excel.

The websites are:

[url removed, login to view]

The data I’m interested in is betting information concerning different sports events/markets. Specifically, I require the description and betting odds of the selected event. In the case of betfair I would also like the betting volume.

I would like this data extracted from the website and saved into an excel sheet. The format would be something along the lines of:

Site Sportsbet
Event Southampton v Reading
Market Number of Goals

Result Odds
0 or 1 [url removed, login to view]
Exactly 2 or 3 [url removed, login to view]
4 or More [url removed, login to view]

Site TAB
Event Washington v Miami
Market Total Score Over/Under

Result Odds
Over 196.5 points [url removed, login to view]
Under 196.5 Points [url removed, login to view]

Site Betfair
Event World Cup 2014
Market Winner 2014

Result Bid Volume Bid Odds Ask Odds Ask Volume
Brazil 134 4.4 4.5 945
Argentina 28 6.2 6.6 562
Spain 899 6.2 6.4 47
Germany 42 9.2 94 711
Italy 276 24 26 141
… … … … …

I want to be able to choose whichever event I want, and then whichever market and then have the data extracted from the website and placed into excel in the format above (or something similar). There needs to be some looping functionality as well such that I can have this request running, for example, every 10 minutes such that the data in the excel sheet is being updated reasonably frequently.

I’m not sure if it’s possible to do this all in excel but ideally an excel macro which accomplishes all these things would be perfect.

Essentially I’d like this to be something I can have running in the background, and flexibility in event and market choice is key.
