Project Description

Design a very professionally looking jewelry store website. Website design needs to be done using HTML 5, XHTML, Javascript. We are interested in getting working website with HTML pages (static) and we do not want any database access logic and any server side scripts. Design a working static website with static content for a jewelry store with best user experience. We are looking for a web designer and UX developer who can design and guide us for a jewelry store website using best graphics, styles and colors with the best user experience for the users. We have requirement defined for all the functionalities needed, and controls we need for all the pages and want to convert the same into a working static website. We want superior graphics and styles with styles in CSS (there must not be any inline styles. All the styles for all the HTML elements should be defined in CSS, including image path). Our goal is to later hire in-house developers to create working dynamic [url removed, login to view], C#, SQL Server website. This is primarily a web design project. Website also needs forum mechanism and we want designer to guide us and design the same for our site (We need better forum thread mechanism than usual ready to use forum controls).

## Deliverables

Graphics, images, CSS styles, media and all HTML files should be included into deliverables. Also complete website should be in working condition with all the navigation links and menu items defined and in working condition supporting all the below listed browsers without any issue. This site then will become a working prototype for us for the later stages. Browser compatibility for static working site: --- Same look and feel and working mechanism for all the browsers. --- Internet Explorer 6.0, IE 7.0 and higher --- Firefox 3.5 and higher --- Safari 4.0 for Macintosh and higher --- Google Chrome 2.0 and higher Requirements: - Good English. Communication via RendtACoder and Skype. - Delivering exactly on time. - Expert in Graphic Design, User experience and website design (CSS, XHTML, HTML 5.0, and Javascript. Preference to have some experience in jewelry domain). - Based on industry standards, cross-browser compatibility is a must. - Adobe Flash (Use wherever flash makes more sense) - We need full code, images, background images, any other graphics, media files, any flash component and its coding, CSS styles, HTML code and make sure the site is fully functional on our system too. - Design the company logo for site. - Create easy navigating menus to navigate to different pages with the best user experience i.e. Horizontal and Vertical menus. Make the best use of page real estate. There will be around 20 pages on the site. But in actual around 8 to 10 unique pages and that too will be using similar theme. There will be around 20 or so different HTML control like horizontal menu or vertical menu, horizontal column based item list, vertical list, forum, user profile etc. - Create cool background images and styles for all the pages. We will be available online as per the schedule decided (mutually) to see and provide real-time design feedback. We can use TeamViewer and see the design and site on your desktop and discuss the changes to reduce the delivery time with frequent feedback. Deadlines: You need to decide how long it will take you to deliver a finished website (working static pages) and let us know with bid. Allow ample time for correction and changes requested by us. Communication - Directly with the person who implements/designs the site and not with a manager or anybody else. - Communication must occur at least every alternate business day. Progress must be shown during each session. - We are in Pacific Standard Time zone, which is UTC [url removed, login to view] and all the time for meeting will be based on the same. All the meeting time will remain fixed or we will need prior notification of any changes. Frequent changes or drop of meeting may result in lower rating for you. Feedback In this project we want you to design and guide us for the site and we will provide regular and frequent feedback of the same. Design and develop the site based on your discretion. We will discuss and decide about every suggestion provided by you and then only once we provide positive feedback and decide about the same, you can go and implement the same. Do not start or finish any implementation before our approval as we don’t want any waste of effort. We also have few workflow and suggestions for the site and those will be discussed with you. You must need to fit those requirements to your implementation. We will provide you references of other sites to suggest you how we want the styles and working mechanism. We will provide you initially a requirement document and the same needs to be updated on your end and sent to us for all your suggestions and changes. We will update you with our satisfaction level periodically and provide you with the feedback. At any stage of the project if the quality of work is not satisfactory consistently (rating < 3) then we can stop the further development and raise dispute. For this reason we will provide you with frequent feedback and the same will be used to validate the satisfaction level. But if we will be satisfied fully with your work then we will provide you bonus based on level of satisfaction. We will have satisfaction level from 1 to 5 where 1 being lowest and 5 being highest satisfaction. Our top most requirements are that you should be able to do requirement gathering and requirement analysis well which will remove the communication gap. We expect you to implement the code only after getting all your doubts and requirements cleared to eliminate any unnecessary effort and delay in delivery. To proceed with this project: - Indicate how long it will take you to complete the task (at least an approximate estimate at first). - Indicate what time is good for you for the initial Voice over Skype interview. - Indicate the total cost of the project. Legal 1) Complete and fully-functional working site (static pages in HTML) with complete source code, images, styles and media files of all work done so that we can modify later based on our requirements. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition installed by the Seller in the Buyer's environment. 2a) All other software (including but not limited to any desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute) must include a software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request (unless specified elsewhere by the Buyer). 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. 3b) No part of the deliverable may contain any copyright restricted 3rd party components (including GPL, GNU, Copyleft, etc.) unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the seller's Seller Legal Agreement.
