Bigcommerce Mod Request (through api)

Im trying to apply a bulk discount rule (same one) to multiple products/categories at once, without having to click 5million pages. Is there a way you can through the api apply a bulk discount rule, that we first create from the admin backend and then apply it to products belonging to different categories at once? Im surprised they dont include this as one of their discount rules already

so ex. if u buy 1 you get standard sale price, if you buy 3 you get 5% off, if you buy 5 you get 10% off, etc, the rules would also have to show on the check out page

seems pretty simple to me, and why they dont have this feautre already
