This project is for two components. The first is a catalogue component and the second is a ‘Request a brochure’ component. This project must be completed within 10 working days of the successful bidder being chosen, so please do not bid if you cannot meet this deadline.
The details of the components are:
o Product listing menu module with expanding menu
o SEF URLs e.g. Capability to have [url removed, login to view]
Product Listing Page
o Product listing page for each category and subcategory with automatic creation of additional pages where there are too many products for one page.
o Link to choose to ‘View All’ products in that Category/Subcategory
Product Detail Page
o 1 main image that if clicked on expands to full screen using Lightbox 2 script
o Up to 3 ‘detail’ images whose thumbnails are on a hidden layer that is displayed only if visitor clicks on ‘View Detail Images’ link (Link only visible if detail images have been uploaded for this product). Once they have done this they will capable of being viewed full screen using the Lightbox 2 script
o Product description text with no limit to size
- Each product could have a number of options eg a bed could have a number of different sizes and prices. Bed linen could have a number of different sizes and prices. These will have to be displayed in a clear tabulated format to the site visitor.
- The site will need to be able to have Sale prices as well as the RRP. The sale price should only be displayed if there is a sale on.
- Each product requires the additional capability of having a ‘Have you Considered?’ section that introduces other relevant products to the visitor.
- Each product detail page should have the following links/functionality.
- Link for a print optimised version of that specific products details and images
- Link to the ‘Contact Us’ page
- Link to the ‘Locate a Store’ page
- Link to go back to the previous product
- Link to go forward to next product
- Link to return to product listing
o Ability to create new product categories and sub categories as well as define the order of these.
o Ability to add/edit/modify products and order them. Need to be able to filter the view of the products bt category/subcategory
o Ability to upload up to 4 images per product (1 main image and 3 detail images)
o Area to add text description for product
o Area to add ‘Have you considered?’ content. This will be done using text editor.
o Ability to enter the following for each product. Size, Description, Price, Sale Price. There will be multiple sizes, descriptions, prices for each product. Eg. An individual bed is available in a number of different sizes and finishes which affect the prices. Will need the ability to add extra lines (hope that makes sense).
o Will need to be able to provide an ‘Administrator’ level login (not Super Administrator) with the ability to modify prices (both normal and Sale) but nothing else. Only the Super Administrator can carry out all other functions.
‘Request a brochure’ component
o This will be a form that enables visitors to request a brochure from the company.
o The form will include a number of input fields of which some of the compulsory fields will be, First name, Surname, Address Line 1, Post Code, What is your nearest store?
o The ‘What is your nearest store?’ field will need to be dynamically created from the database (more on this in the backend…)
o On submitting their request the component needs to check the visitors form details against the database of previous brochure requests. If it finds a record that matches the First name, Surname and Postcode the component will ask the visitor if they have requested a brochure before. If the answer is no then it will create a new brochure request entry in the database. If the answer if yes then it should re-apply using the existing details on the database.
The idea here is that the various managers of the stores around the UK can login to the backend of the site in the morning and print out a letter addressed to each of the various site visitors that have requested a brochure. I therefore need each store location to have its own login, letter content, store details (Contact details, opening hours, location map, Manager’s name). The store managers will use the ‘Manager’ level of Joomla to login to the backend and they will need to have the ability to modify their own store’s brochure letter content.
The brochure letters printing should work like this. When the store manager logs in to the backend he sees a list of all brochure requests specific to his store (remember the visitor had to choose their nearest sotre when filling out the form) that have yet to be actioned. He can then click ‘Select All’ and choose to ‘Print’ them. At this point the backend of the site should merge the brochure request details with the letter template (as defined by each individual store manger) to create a printable batch of letters that he can then send off with the brochures. I am not sure what the best way to do this will be. I know you can create pdfs on the fly but would take advice… Either way once ‘printed’ they need to then be marked as already printed (or actioned)
The manager should also be able to view previous brochure requests specifc to his store and re-print them, either individually or in a batch.
Those logged in with an ‘Administrator’ level or above also need to be able to:
o Add/Edit/Delete stores and their details
o View all brochure requests as well as filter by store/date requested/Actioned?
o Export the brochure request data as a csv. This should be capable of being done using all records or between dates.
