PHP Class or Function for the creation of Microsoft IIS web site and Microsoft DNS entry to add to an existing PHP script:
A full web site creation process already exists written in PHP and executed from an anonymous browser connection taking input from a completed browser-based table (The page that creates the new web store can only be accessed after a PHP login process). This currently creates all of the file directories, copies files from the master set, creates the configuration files, creates the MySQL database and copies master MySQL table content into the new database and a number of other steps. The final two steps in the MS IIS web site and MS DNS creation process require to be automated as part of this existing script. The existing script has all of the setup inforamtion and can pass the appropriate parameters to the IIS and DNS creation processes. These two steps need to be added to the existing PHP script to complete the automation of the entire new web site process. Please ensure that your PHP solution to create an IIS web site and MS DNS entries can execute from an anonymous user or alternatively give the entire solution allowing these final two steps to be automated as part of this single operation PHP new web site setup process. The current PHP script reports at each stage of the setup process that it is carrying out a specific task and then that it has completed it (i.e. 'Creating New MySQL Database' and the 'Done' at success. If a step fails, it is reported with an appropriate error message and the script is stopped). The solution can be a new class or function called with the appropriate parameters. The environment is Windows Server 2003, IIS, PHP5.
Microsoft IIS web store creation:
This needs to mimic the creation process used in the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager wizard with two additions - one for a second domain name and one for changes to the web log settings. The script should adopt all of the standard IIS defaults.
Step 1: New web site description.
Step 2: Host Header: Two are needed to be created:
www.<name>.<domain>.[url removed, login to view]
<name>.<domain>.[url removed, login to view]
Allow for two Host Header creations for the two variants.
Both will require IP and Port settings that can be separately specified
Step 3: IP Address: allow for separate entries of address or 'All Unassigned' for both Host Headers
Default should be 'All Unassigned'.
Step 4: TCP Port: allow for separate entries for both Host Headers
Default should be 80.
Step 5: Path to web site home directoy: allow for full file system path
Step 6: Allow anonymous access to this web site: requires to be True/False
Default will be True
Step 7: Permissions: must allow selection of all permissions: Read/Run Scripts/Execute/Write/Browse
Default will be Read/Run Scripts
Step 8: Enable logging to be set to True.
Properties require to be set:
Log Schedule: Default should be Daily
Log File Directory: Must be specified as full file system path.
(Log file will be held in the web store's directory and not in the default Windows loaction).
Logging Options: All standard logging options must be enabled PLUS Referer (cs(Referer)) which usually is not.
Microsoft DNS entry creation:
The new DNS entry will be a subdomain of an existing MS DNS entry and not an entirely new Forward Lookup Zone. The script will require to create two new HOST A Records to be inserted into the existing MS DNS system for the domain <domain>.us.com.
Step 1: Create new entry as www.<name>.<domain>.[url removed, login to view]
Step 2: Add IP address for new HOST A record
Step 3: Create new entry as <name>.<domain>.[url removed, login to view]
Step 4: Add IP address for new HOST A record
Create the new HOST A records in this order.
Although the requirement is specifically for new HOST A record creation on an existing domain name the script should also allow for the creation of an entirely new Forward Lookup Zone and appropriate DNS records as an option.
Payment will be made by PayPal ONLY and will be made after the script has been incorporated into the existing PHP script and has been tested and proven to work.
