API integration with a web store that will be selling our product. Our product is a link that will be framed into or linked to from the end users website. The store will handle the sale and will need to notify us of the sale through the web services. Below is a brief description provided to us by the store. We also have wsdl files along with php and ruby and a developers guide pdf. Please contact me with any questions. The store claims this is a very simple project that can be done in hours not days or weeks but you can be the judge of that. Here is what they say.
"Focus would primarily be on the provisioning portion of the process – where the user makes the purchase, the store sends you
the user information via the provision API (WSDL), and you authorize the user to go through the set up.
The key would be providing back the information that should be displayed to the user that the product is ready to be set up.
We have been referring to this as "post purchase messaging" to be thought of as next steps.
Once the user is set up, the interaction is minimal. The next step
would be to focus on the API -> Working towards the interaction with a purchase generated from the store and your internal sign up process
(information you need to collect from the API to instantiate a set up and information you need to pass back –
the how to get started – to the transaction complete process of the store)."
