Project Description

I'm looking for someone who is well-versed in website security to help stop a spam-attack on my site. There are over 1000 fake accounts being created daily and flooding my site, and I need to implement some additional security measures to prevent them from doing this as my server has already crashed once.

We already have ReCaptcha set-on on the registration page AND new members are required to activate their accounts via email but this bot seems to be getting through both. Initially, they were also auto-posting articles on the site, however, I slowed that down by putting a posting restriction on new accounts. They are now trying to post comments instead. I need to get this under control ASAP.

If you know how to stop this and/or are able to implement additional security measures, please let me know the details as I need someone ASAP.

The website is a niche community/social network type of site, custom built in Perl/CGI with MySQL databases. Message me for URL.

Also, if you're available for on-going work on the site (i.e. building/updating community-type features such as contests, photo galleries, etc...) please specify this in your post as I am interested in a long-term relationship.
