Project Description

Hi, I am reposting this project as it didn't quite work out before

We are not better able to say precisely what we want (a combination of things)

1. Recipes found and translated from English to Spanish

2. Online store descriptions. in English and Spanish

3. Short articles about certain ingredients (usually herbs or vegetables with a specific health benefit)

Below is the original listing. Anyone that bid previously is welcome to bid again. Please bid low and we may try out numerous providers. This is ongoing work and in total we are looking to spend up to $250 per month.

Our company is in the business of import and distribution of products in the “gourmet y saludable” category within Colombia.

We require people to help us write copy for our website, principally food product descriptions and nutritional articles.

The information should show insight into how a product is used, what is its provenance, what other products or ingredients could accompany it, what recipes could it be used in, what are its origins, interesting facts about it or any special nutritional qualities that it may have.

For ingredients included in certain products, or the products themselves, with special nutritional properties you should be able to propose (with guidance) and write a short article of those properties. For example “Las propiedades antibacterianas de la miel de manuka” or “ el uso medicinal de la flor de Jamaica”

All work should be original with permitted research. A product description should be about 100 words, an article should be 200 to 500 words. Non-original work that can be found elsewhere on the internet will be rejected.

All work will need to be written in “traditional” Spanish unless otherwise instructed. Regional variations such as “culantro” must be written cilantro “kíon” must be written jengibre etc.

The original work will relate to herbal infusions, nuts and seeds, and spices.

You should be a native speaker of Spanish with excellent orthography and grammar

You should have at least an interest in the areas of gastronomy, cuisine and nutrition. Students of nutritional science would be ideal.

You will not be required to write copy in English, but you should be able to communicate in English (and understand this project description of course) You may bid in Spanish.

We’d be particularly interested in hearing from native speakers from Peru, Mexico and Spain.

This is a small project, bid low and we can negotiate how much copy you will write, the project will be renewed when we have more products to add.

Bidders should be able to demonstrate that they have read and understand the above project and can satisfy the requirements. Spam bidders that don’t mention something pertinent to the project will be ignored. We will engage in dialogue with all genuine bidders.

Bidders can be sent links to our own website with exact examples of what we are looking for.

If you have examples of your work in other places on the web, we will happily have a look at them.
