Project Description

Red Pen Bristol Proofreading currently has an opening for a freelance intern. We are an online company that edits and proofreads the graduate-level essays of second language students attending some of the best universities abroad. These are very bright individuals with a great deal of talent who simply need our help expressing their ideas in English. We do NOT help students plagiarize; this is an academic, educational service that you can be proud to have on your resume. This is a two to three month position, with opportunity to integrate as a more permanent freelancer if desired.

This position offers the following benefits:

• Work from home. All texts are edited online using Word.

• Potential point of entry into the online market. If you are looking to break into online work, we are willing to help you gain the necessary experience. If your work is satisfactory and submitted with respect to deadlines, we are happy to act as a reference in the future.

• Potential point of entry into the Technical Editing field. For English majors, this is one of (if not the) highest paying areas of work available. Although we market ourselves as “proofreaders” to ensure students immediately understand our services, the skills you will learn are technical editing skills.
