RFP for MediaSpan/CircPro Online-only Subscriptions
Background and Purpose:
One of our sister company's, a Newspaper company has been working on a new CMS and website that was developed using the Django framework. They are currently in their final phase of development and getting ready to launch the new site. It has been decided that for users who would like to subscribe to the newspaper website only, they would like to use thier current print subscription circulation system for the payment processor and database of record for all subscriptions whether print or online.
Develop a new Django app in a new branch of our existing website Git repository.
Have one public view that the user would use to subscribe to either a monthly or yearly online-only subscription. This view would have a form the users fill out that has whatever the required fields are to create a subscription. The required fields would be dictated by whatever the MediaSpan/CircPro SOAP API requires.
Write a Django management command that is able to check all online subscribers with access to make sure that their account is currently active in MediaSpan/CircPro and then makes their online access either active or inactive according to their MediaSpan/CircPro status.
Developers working on this project must already be familiar and proficient with the Django framework.
Must be able to deliver the completed project by May 25, 2013.
Must hbe have previous experience using Python to interact with a SOAP API.
