Given an image of a face with areas of skin mapped out, determine the skin tone (fair, medium, olive, brown, dark brown) with sufficient precision under a range of lighting conditions.
It is important that the process account for lighting conditions that might produce a "shine" on various parts of the complexion. These should be ignored in favor of real skin tone values. It's advised that you use the LAB or HSV color space for this. You may use <a href="[login to view URL]"> this </a> for reference.
The returned value can either be a string of either "fair", "medium", "olive", "brown", "dark brown", "black" or the equivalent RGB values

Hello Sir,
I have a lon experience in image processing (see my feedbacks).
I understood you need to use Python or Ruby.
I know Python quite well, and I can reproduce the well known algorithm for image processing in that language.
Could you provide me an example?
Do not hesitate to ask me for any question.
Best regards
