Opportunity for expert python developer with solid linux system admin skills to develop a cutting-edge AWS cloud infrastructure using VPC, EC2, DynamoDB, etc. Some experience of Amazon AWS will be helpful, but not a requirement as you will quickly learn it if you have good system admin knowledge.
Python development using botocore ([url removed, login to view]) and AWS CLI ([url removed, login to view] ) .
Your Linux admin skills should allow you to quickly configure and manage multiple linux boxes. Working knowledge of TCP/IP communications as used by linux boxes (eg. IPtables).
Spoken English good enough to talk directly with USA developer. Written English for emails and documenting code.
You will be building a python command line interface (CLI) and Restful API that needs to scale to managing 1000+ VPC with 2000++ server instances. Then build a Django website that will use the same CLI to control servers but via a website.
Any knowledge or interest in quantitative trading is useful.
Detailed specification will be provided. Will be a 120++ hour project with potential of long term ongoing work.
