This project is a daily deal website. Merchants can run their deals and consumers can customize them. User friendly appearance is the first priority here which implies a responsive website. Extensibility and modular design are two important aspects of the software design because this project is a part of bigger one. UI should be in pure HTML5/CSS3, and no flash and silverlight should be used there. The website is capable of integration with profile websites (e.g. Facebook). The most important aspect of the website is web service that provide the information for mobile applications and third party websites. Copyright violation can not be tolerated; therefore, the code will be checked out throughly before payment. There is a two months of testing period when we may ask for some minor modifications. These are the basic usecases for the website: 1) Businesses can post deals 2) Users can request deals 3) User can login through Facebook and Google 4) Deals can fetched through RestFul APIs 5) Deals can be posted through RestFul APIs 6) Consumers can purchase deals 7) Consumers can customize their personal deals Expected Quality: The website should: 1) be search engine optimized 2) has a high level of security 3) user friendly 4) has stylish and lovely We follow an spiral model of programming. UI practices and design will be presented to programmers.
