I have a .CSV dump which I want to extract two fields from. Both fields are alphanumeric one 16 characters and one 24 characters. In general every 24 character sequence should map to one and ONLY one 16 character sequence. I wish to find any occurrences where a 24 bit sequence maps to MORE THAN ONE 16 character sequence. I am not a python programmer and it is taking me too long. I have been extracting the two fields then storing them in a file, then doing a linux sort, followed by a uniq command. Then I would next have to find where there is more than one occurrence of 24 character sequence. You can do it how you like. the file is very large at soime hundred megabytes
