Project Description

I am a corporate video producer looking for an experienced and competent 3D graphics designer to illustrate the size, shape and layout of some underground oil and gas reserves. We can provide all the information necessary including screenshots of images that have already been produced from a variety of angles (see attached files for some samples which we can explain more fully to the successful bidder) - as well as a reference showing the type of end result we need (See sample at: [url removed, login to view] – Gallery – Videos – RIU Sydney Resources Round-up Presentation – Slide 4 - just look at the underground bits). We would need about 2 minutes of 1920 X 1080 HD resolution underground animation video as an end result, showing the oil & gas reserves from various angles, as well as other layers of material such as rock and water - as well as various drill holes from above. Some interaction will be necessary of course to get the shape and look correct, but this is not in any was as complicated or difficult as say the architectural flythroughs showing the exteriors and interiors of new property developments. In simple terms you can think of this project as animating a series of underground caves and channels which contain layers of oil and gas. I do not have a specific budget in mind - but would like something classy, impressive and well-produced that doesn't cost a motza. I'd also like to be sent samples of work from anyone pitching for the job, with an indication of the cost and time taken to produce them. Thanks, Kato.
