Project Description

This project is to research a very specific type of business: small, locally owned retail businesses in BC and Alberta. Some web coding knowledge is required to be able to determine the current state of these business' website and determine if they are currently using a content management system.

You will be required to find these businesses, categorize them by several criteria, and get contact information for the business owner or store manager - the person that makes the decisions.

The stores will have to have a specialty of some sort, not a generic store such as a convenient store or dollar store. The businesses should NOT be franchises or chains, but true independent businesses. For example, a flower shop is not usually a good business since their website likely an FTD website or something similar. Think of stores where the owners and employees have specialized knowledge.

I'll need 200 highly qualified businesses in total.

Fluency in English is absolutely required, as are good communication skills.

We are a web design company that will soon be adding sales videos and SEO to our list of services. We are specializing in helping retail businesses get more from the internet by leveraging their expertise.
