My Favourite "Ruby" is dynamic, scripting, utilitarian language. It's great for writing small apps and wonderful for wrapping other libraries or for making part of an app more dynamic. And in Rails, we have just about the best web framework around.
I have recent experience in Ruby backends, as well as a good working knowledge of HTML5/Javascript. I can write a mean SQL query, and also have some experience with MongoDB. I am a capable web designer and can make pretty much anything you could want happen with CSS with enough caffeine.
I can deploy the app to amazon web services, heroku and linode.
