Project Description

Hello together!

We are a Munich-based start-up in the tourism industry. To give you broad idea about our business, let me briefly summarize the essence of our business plan: "We are selling ski passes to customers through our online portal ([url removed, login to view])."

What we are looking for, is a Ruby on Rails programmer to help the existing team to continuously develop our portal and complementary products. Specifically, we want our candidates to have the following skills:

-- Experience with Ruby on Rails (and Web Applications in general)

-- Familiarity with the usual tools in the Ruby on Rails community (such as Git and GitHub)

-- Experience with front-end web technologies: HTML(5), CSS, and JavaScript (we are using jQuery and Twitter Bootstrap)

-- You are fanatical about Test Driven Development (we are using RSpec and Cucumber)

-- Reasonable communication skills in English (we want to Skype you before hiring)

You tasks would include working on various assignments (which you get through GitHub Issues/Basecamp/Skype/E-Mail). While working, you are expected to regularly push your code to GitHub and check in with the team to do code reviews.

If you have any references related to Ruby on Rails (old code, hobby projects, prior work, open source contributions) on your GitHub account would be really awesome!

We are offering weekly payment through PayPal with the conditions specified in this post.

Looking forward to your bids!

Best regards,

Christoph -- CTO at Snow & Alps Tourism GmbH in Munich/Germany
