Project Description

We require a developer to help migrate our cucumber test suite to be in line with the changes in the 2.1.0 capybara update. Our current capybara version is 1.1.2.

Our test suite uses wait_until in a few places and these tests are broken. We would require those tests to be updated to the new capybara way of doing things. Reference here: [url removed, login to view]

There have been a few syntax changes that would need to be propagated within our test suite as well. Reference: [url removed, login to view]

We have about 7 tests that fail because of the wait_until issue. We have around 200 cucumber scenarios in total.

You tasks are as follows:
- Update capybara gem to 2.1.0
- Update the cucumber test suite for all the capybara changes as described in the upgrade guide.
- Ensure that all the cucumber tests pass.

Skills:
You must be familiar with ruby and rails development. Must be familiar with the cucumber testing framework.

This is a small project that will help us get this needed technical debt resolved into our web application. This project is also a way for us to build a relationship for future work with the accepted candidate.

Background on us:
We are a start up that's building tools for information organization, feedback, and collaboration in the enterprise.

Technical details:
We're using rails 3.2 and jquery. Couchdb is the database that we're using.

Upon acceptance of the project we require an IP agreement be electronically signed.
