1- Project description. This is an initial but reasonably well-thought out, one page description of your project. Provide enough details about the scope of your project, A rough idea of scope is that an acceptable project is likely to yield at least 15 or so relation in the final design.
2- Entity-Relationship Model. Provide a complete design for your project using Entity-Relationship Model.
3-Relational Design. Provide a complete relational design for your project. Include designs for your user view as well.
4-Database implementation. Implement your database design with sample data and a Web accessible interface.
The above deliverables will be in 2 phases. A document and a presentation are expected in each phase.
Phase 1: Database requirements and conceptual design
1- Describe the application and expected output as explained above (in deliverable no. 1) explain why a database is needed for this application and the benefits and drawbacks of having a database system.
2- Provide a brief description of the system including the required functions, basic entities and their attributes as well as the relationship linking the various entities.
3-Conceptual Database design: draw an Enhanced Entity-Relationship diagram for the application. Be sure to indicate the assumptions and constraints of the EER diagram.
4- Suggest queries for all user levels.
Note: The EER diagram can be easily drawn in Microsoft Word but hand-drawn graphs are acceptable at this stage
Phase 2: Physical Design and implementation
1- Properly refine your phase 1 according to feedback and suggestions.
2- Map the EER diagram onto relational tables.
3-Implement and populate the tables in Microsoft Access.
4- Decide on the queries you want to have
5- Write the queries in SQL & build an interface for them ( the queries shouldn't be repetitive & must support the selected report)
6-Normalize the tables, discuss the possible problems of the design.
7-Develop the screens, forms, and reports.
8-Provide sample runs on the implemented functions.
The final report should incorporate changes suggested in phased 1 (e.g. adding a certain query, correcting problems in the EER design, etc) It should integrate all the pieces you've done in both phases. You are expected to provide scenarios about how the Senior Managers would use the database to generate reports, be sure to submit the SQL files together with report (MSWord) file.

Design a database system for a pizza parlor. You may for instance track information about employees, pizzas available, calorie content etc. Show how this database will be used by at least two different types of users, For example: employees and customers as well as Managers. Employees may be able to check the inventory while the customers may be able to view pizzas available at the parlor or place online orders.
