Public Relations Specialist

The Public Relations Specialist will act as the primary communications person for FusedLearning Corp – supporting the team in the creation and execution of marketing materials and strategies in order to further the goals of the organization. This will be done primarily through a number of key areas of work to include, but not be limited to: internal and external communications; virtual/in person events coordination; electronic and print media relations; graphic design and materials development.

Key Roles

Strategic Planning

· Contribute to operational strategic planning, identifying opportunities to promote services and products to specific industries and target markets.

Traditional Marketing Support

· Write, design and publish regular newsletter

· Update website content. (Wordpress)

· Maintain and update our company social media profiles (Facebook, Twitter, Google + and LinkedIn Company Pages)

· Help develop, create and distribute general marketing materials.

Public Relations

· Develop Meaningful relationships with national and local media contacts, clients, business partners, consultants, vendors and other organizations in order to establish professional links and to increase the visibility of the the company throughout the US.

· Review and submit press releases to the national and local media about news and events happening with the company. We use a third party company for press release development, you will be in charge of reviewing the articles and finalizing them for distribution.

Requirements - KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED

· Two to three years of progressively responsible experience in marketing and public relations.

· Superior writing, editing and verbal communications skills.

· Strong project management, administrative and organizational skills.

· Knowledge of desktop publishing and usual computer applications.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and be attentive to details.

· Highly creative problem solving ability.

· You should be available/reachable between the hours of 9 am and 6 pm Eastern Standard Time (US) Monday through Friday

· You should be reachable via Skype and Email (we will provide you a company based email account)
