The system will take into consideration amongst other variables:
-The size and composition of the fleet
-The capacity of the fleet
-The location of the fleet
-The inventory levels per sku at each depot
-The min and max levels of stock per sku in each depot
-Historical data on Turnaround times, Time delays, Offloading/loading times, Operating hours etc.
-Sales history by SKU in each depot
It will calculate and recommend the optimal sku mix, optimal time and optimal vehicle to schedule to generate the optimal outcome.
As the data grows, must have the ability to improve its suggestion capabilities.
The operational data resides in SQL Server, Microsoft Nav native DB and Excel, so the system must have the capability to either connect directly to these data sources or import data in a defined format.
Existing data is huge and keeps growing so the system must be robust enough to analyze large data sets optimally.
System should be implemented in either Java or .NET and local database should be either SQL SERVER or MYSQL
