Project Description

I found an open source program called Floreant POS that I find to be useful but I am in need of some modifications to it. The source is available on their site ([url removed, login to view]).

I need the following modifications:

When creating a new order I would like to be able to select either a table and amount of guests (as the program currently does) OR I would like an option to type in a customer name (for example: Bill). There would be no need to set a guest amount if a person's name is used instead of a table number. It's important to know we do not have keyboards, only touchscreens so we would need a virtual keyboard onscreen to type this name in. This would help me out with the customers who sit at the bar and not at a table.

My kitchen is divided into two sections. One section makes Pizzas only and the other makes everything else. I need an additional printer option for pizzas. This program currently allows two types of printers. One is an ordinary receipt, the other is called kitchen. I would like to modify when/how a receipt is printed to both the kitchen printer and pizza printer. I would like food orders to be printed to the main kitchen printer (perhaps an attribute for a menu item that could indicate it is food). The kitchen shouldn't care what drink is ordered since the kitchen is not responsible for serving drinks. I would like a similar option for pizzas as well but to be printed to the pizza printer instead.

I would also need the main receipts that are printed out on the receipt printer to be able to print to a 2 1/4" wide receipt paper properly. Currently when a receipt gets printed out it cuts off. The kitchen & pizza printers are both 80mm wide receipt paper. When I currently print the receipt to the kitchen it does not format properly on the receipt. I can provide images of how it currently looks when these items are printed.

I would also like to be able to change the login screen graphic. I can provide a picture or even better would be an option in the back office configuration to allow me to change it to whatever I'd like.

When this is complete I would like the modified source code as well as the compiled binary files.
