I'm looking for some assistance writing a small piece of windows-based software. I have designed some pieces of software in the past, and need this to use as a proof-of concept.

Shared SQL database will be utilized.

Multiple people will utilize the software simultaneously.

An example to how the software will work:

Orders for 10 sandwiches are entered into one of the database tables.

The Bread department updates the information for the bread status from a list of drop-downs (mixing, baking, etc)

The Meat department updates the information for the meat status from a list of drop-downs (cooking, slicing, etc)

The assembly department is monitoring the software to know which sandwiches will be ready to be built first based upon their components being ready.

Since the screen only allows enough room for 5 sandwiches on the screen, the position of viewable orders will be modifiable through a database record.

Show orders 1-5, or show orders 2-6, etc.

There's no need for any security, anyone can run the software, and anyone can update any of the status's.

The software should update the screen roughly every 60 seconds with a countdown timer indicating how long until the next update. Updating should be able to be paused. .

The code will need to be written in a way to easily duplicate the status's and buttons that control them, so duplicating them doesn't create lots of time consuming work.
