Project Description

We need a programmer experienced with NSIS (Nullsoft Scriptable Install System>>>>>[url removed, login to view]) to create a windows installer for a simple program we have. The program package has like 6 files. We need the following automated while a user is installing the windows installer that will be developed:

1. Since our program requires that the user has Windows Vista, 7 , 8 or windows server 2008, the installer has to intelligently pre-check the user system to see if the user has Windows 7/8/2008 installed. Otherwise, it will terminate the installation and prompt the user that his operating system version is not supported. Our application does not support Windows XP and lower.

2. Since the application also heavily relies on netsh ( a command-line tool) available on Windows , the user of the application must have this netsh executable available on his system. So we need the installer to be able to check if netsh exists on the user PC and if netsh can be executed. Sometimes due to UAC restrictions, netsh wil not execute. Please refer to the attached manual on how to disable UAC in windows programatically. This must work in windows vista/7/8

3. I will provide the program icon file (.ico) that will be used for the program desktop and start menu shortcuts.
