I have a computer engineering degree from CMU, so while I mostly work in programming and admin, I'm very good with hardware. I've build a processor, written OSs, and built linear circuits. I've done many tcpdumps and I could do this with your hardware.

Since space is limited on this device, I would suggest to push the captured data every few hours to a remote computer.

Dear Madam or Sir, I am an experienced C/C++ for (Linux), Python, and bash programmer. Therefore, this task can be done easily in a few days, hence my low price. I would create a script that captures the network with tcpdump (in monitor mode?), save it every 12 hours, and make it avaiable with a http server on the wireless network (in station mode or access port node?) or uploade it to a server if internet connection is available. To make sure that everything runs smoothely, programs are restarted when they crash, and the actions are scheduled I would use bash scripts, python scripts, cron and upstart which is integrated in Ubuntu/Picuntu. You will get scripts that install and configure everything automatically. I am looking forward to discuss the details in the chat.

I personally would not pay this amount for this project, unless I'm missing something. I limit the size of the tcpdump files to make it easier to work with, but I'm dumping off of Gig ports on a SAN that moves a lot of data. 1) Write a bash file to launch tcpdump with file rotation and size limits. 2) Write a bash file to create a RAR archive and manage the size of the RAR. 3) Configure rsync to sync the RAR file off of the system to another device. I currently have a system doing this at work, except the RAR archive. I had an issue on our iSCSI SAN and set tcpdump to monitor three locations on the SAN and move the captures to a central location for analysis with WireShark.
