Making a Database Searchable

This should be a simple project. We will provide you with a website that is available to the public and is continuously updated. We want you to create another password protected website for us (we own hosting space at [login to view URL] if that works for you) that will allow us to search this website based on very simple search criteria - nothing exotic. The search functions need to access the historical data found in the database (it only goes back about 3 1/2 years) as well as the new data that comes through daily.
