hi, the model which you requires sounds very useful and i am very interested in doing this job. a little background on me: i am a data scientist, specialising in data analysis and modelling. i perform most of my analysis in R. i would do this project as follows: 1. acquire the data 2. validate the data and deal with any missing or invalid records 3. devise model for converting from individual records to household records 4. generate a propensity model for "wireless only" households 5. document the model 6. use model to generate projections 7. convert household data to xls spreadsheet i am not sure up front what the most appropriate model will be for this data, but i would start with logistic regression and then consider other options like SVM, neural networks etc. i have made a conservative estimate of the time required to complete this job (7 days). best regards, andrew.

As a professor of Geography I've completed numerous statistical analysis projects, including multivariate modeling of census data. Before accepting the job I would like to see a sample of the data to I can see the actual variables. I would also like to discuss exactly what you expect from the individual vs. household level analysis. And I would need to know whether you will be compiling the census data or whether you expect the contracted freelancer to do that. I am the best candidate for this project because I am very skilled in SAS and statistics. From your project description, I believe a good place to start would be a data step to summarize the data to the household level in a data step and then proceed to regression analysis with proc glmselect (if regression does not work well I will try nonlinear models, but regression is quite flexible and typically gives good results). I have not completed any SAS projects on freelancer yet, however I work on projects in SAS every day at SAS Institute (my employer). For instance, a current project is to build models to predict health care risk using consumer data. Also, being a consultant, I know that I can complete this by the time I say I will.
