I have recently upgraded my computer from Windows 7 Home to Windows 8 Pro.
On Windows 7, I ran a Virtual Machine using Virtual PC. The VM runs Windows XP.
However, Virtual PC is not supported on Windows 8, and so I was obliged to create a new VM using Hyper-V, attaching the virtual hard disk from the original VM.
All well and good so far.
However, I am unable to get the VM now to connect to the internet, using a shared wifi internet connection (this was not an issue when running on Windows 7/Virtual PC).
I have read several posts about similar issues, but none of the suggested solutions have worked.
I am a software developer, and not a network admin, so I get lost when it comes to network-related stuff. I am sure this will be a very easy thing to resolve for someone with more networking knowledge and previous experience of Hyper-V.
I will give you remote access to my computer in order to resolve this issue.
