Project Description

A small business server running IIS and wordpress needs it's installation cleaned up.

The site is currently under a sub directory [url removed, login to view] and needs to be moved to the document root (either by modifying the document root to now be /wordpress, or your best recommendation based on server configuration).

Links and content from the old site, [url removed, login to view] need to have rules applied to redirect the content to the new wordpress page as not to get 404 errors when using old bookmarks or links. (there's about 30 pages that need redirects). This needs to be done within the IIS way of creating rewrite rules as htaccess files are for Apache.

I'm not sure if any extensions or plugins need to be installed for url rewriting or not. But this can and should be discussed prior to my acceptance of your bid. I'm more of a linux guy myself.

Additional Clarification:

I'm NOT in need of a wordpress expert, I need someone adept and skilled on the PLATFORM in which wordpress is installed. The modifications CANNOT be done within wordpress as it is NOT a linux box with apache. This is a simple task for someone skilled on IIS. And a very difficult task for anyone that thinks they know wordpress. Server configuration is required!
