Looking for a Linux expert to troubleshoot and optimize a storage server. I have it setup and running, but get lots of errors in the log file and can crash when transferring large amounts of data. I want the errors fixed and server tuned for best performance. Error in the log file is
tgtd: conn_close(101) connection closed, 0xf0a258 1
and it occurs every 10 seconds per client.
Storage server is setup with Centos 6.3 with TGT as the iSCSI server. iSCSI target is backed by LVM. Client server(s) is running Proxmox (debian based). Each server has two NICS, one to Internet, and one to 1G LAN (test env uses cross-over cable), no support for IPV6 on network. I have two production environments setup with this config and both getting the same errors. I also have a test environment setup that is also getting the same error. You'll be working on the test environment.
- Fix the error
- Review entire server setup and optimize performance for being an iSCSI server. Disabling unneeded services, changing configs, etc...
- Provide details on everything that you did and why
If you bid on this project, send PM and tell my what Linux OS you would use for an iSCSI server and why.
