Project Description

This is only the starting test project. If the development works out well, we will hire you to implement many more workflows to this software.

I am looking for someone who can create a program which allows the automated resolution of some IT Incident workflows.

The program should contain a main view, where all available workflows are shown so that the technician can choose the one needed.

After choosing the incident type, they will be taken to a different view where they can launch the process. Please note, that some incidence types need further input and the program must execute the workflows on remote computers. All computers are remotely accessible by login y the technician. This means, that the program must also have a user login, in order to locally save the technician login data which will later be user to logon to the remote servers (all servers always use the same password for each user). This is not a real login, since data does not need to be verified, it only serves to save the technicians login details to use it later for server logins.

Workflow 1: Liberate disk space on C: (Windows)

Input form prior to start workflow:

- Server name (input text field)

- Windows server edition (Drop down with Windows 2003, Windows 2008)

Workflow:

1. Log on to remote server name using the technicians login information

If is Win 2003:

2. delete all files and folders within the directory:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\LiveUpdate\Downloads

3. delete all files and folders within the directory:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\VirusDefs

except the folders:

Folder 1

Folder 2

Folder 3 (to be specified)

If is Win 2008:

2. as above, but with a different route

3. as above, but with a different route

4. Return success message and show Total disk Space on C: and Free Disk Space on C:

Workflow 2:

Change backup media servers

Input form prior to start workflow:

- Server name (input text field)

- Server location (Drop down with locations to be provided)

Workflow:

1. Log on to remote server name using the technicians login information

2. Open a specific route within regedit (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VARITAS\SYMANTEC.....) and change the value of the saved details to a specific field.

3. Return success message showing the newly applied values

NOTE: The values to be applied are saved within the program and vary depending on the server location.
