I have a Cisco 887va ADSL router, that needs configuring to replace our existing cheap router. The Cisco needs some sort of terminal configuration before we can access it's admin panel, the only way to do this is to connect to it via serial cable.
I plan to install a remote viewer like vnc or teamviewer to that machine, work with you over skype to connect the cables etc and let you configure the router to replace our own ADSL Modem router. After we are reconnected, we then need to install a wireless access point onto the network. Again, i am hoping this will also be a Cisco AIR wirless access device. Not sure about the model number yet until i collect it.
1: Configure Cisco router sufficiently to connect to existing ADSL connection (credentials will be supplied)
2: Verify that all our machines can connect to the internet, offerin advice as to what settings to change if not (I will manually check each machine)
3: Install wireless access point
4: Configure two seperate wireless networks (guest, office)
5: Where possible, limit guest download speeds in configuration of wireless access point/router.
Please only bid if you have some experience of working with Cisco products. Also you should be aware, you will only be able to access the Cisco box via VNC or teamviewer and when we test, i will have to uninstall existing ADSL connection and plug in the Cisco box, so you must be patient.
