Project Description

Hi! I am looking for a native Chinese speaker and writer to translate some of my company's marketing materials and some personal letters to executives with our partners and potential clients. Whoever I end up choosing MUST speak and write English fluently as well. It is very important that our exact intent is translated to our clients in Taiwan. It is a definite plus if you can provide some insight into marketing techniques or cultural idiosyncrasies to benefit our business.

The ideal candidate is someone from China or Taiwan who went to college in the US or UK. Current college students are welcome to apply.

I am doing my best to not demand the impossible for pennies like a lot of postings here, but it should be fairly simple work for a native speaker.

I am offering $5 for translation of simple one page template letters to our clients. Once a new template is complete I will pay $[url removed, login to view] per page just to make minor changes, eg. change a sentence or two, client names, and maybe a new greeting. We will be creating about 5 or 10 templates over the next two months and will send out dozens of copies to different clients. Once a template is completed it will only take a minute or so to make changes to each copy so the pay should be about 1:1, dollar to minute worked.

Once we have developed a good working relationship there is the possibility of follow on work and larger projects for our marketing department.

Please include a short writing sample in English, not more than one or two pages, but try to make it decent quality so I can gauge your writing abilities. Attention to detail time: please begin your private message with the term "Kherubim Gig." We will be verifying your work with our partner in Taiwan, so poor translations or running it through google translate will not be acceptable.
