Project Description

I want to write articles on the efficacy and underlying mechanism of the meridian system. I have heard there has been a lot of research in this area within China over the past decade. I'm looking for someone who has access to academic/research papers in China to translate this into English.

I am more interested in research done in recent years. A 'scientific review' of recent research is appropriate, but other research material is also required. I'm asking for at least 5 full papers to be found and translated - however, they also need to be worthwhile in progressing one's understanding of the underlying principles of the meridian system (several papers on one particular aspect of research when the latest one would suffice is not acceptable).

I will need to know which research papers are OK for public display (possibly online, in English), and which can only be sited as reference due to the potential of copyright or other intellectual property infringement. All copyrights for the translated material are to be passed over to me. You will be sited as the researcher/translator for any published material which uses your direct translation in full.

Copies of the original abstracts and analysis (in Chinese) must be passed on to me in case there is any questions about the translation.

I'm not asking for you to have completed the English exam on Freelancer, however I do expect you to have a high level of English to be able to complete this project. Please proof-read your work prior to submission to prevent a dispute being filed.

1. Collect reseach papers and translate abstracts so I can choose the type of research I'm most interested in and discuss options if necessary.

2. Translate the 5 (or more) chosen research papers into English.

3. Edit, clarify meanings and sentences which make less sense in English than they may do in Chinese (or to a layman rather than a CTM scientist).

4. Everyone is happy and you receive a small bonus.
