Project Description

Hi all, I work for an agency who handle the social media, specifically Facebook pages, of a large company in the hardware/gaming sector.

I'm looking for a Dutch translator to translate, English to Dutch, 4-5 posts per week, each around 50 words long.

Applicants are required to be largely available online throughout the working day as from time to time posts are reshuffled, news hits or last minute updates occur and I may need 1-2 additional pieces of text written.

I'm happy to pay a flat sum of $230 a month for this work as occasionally there is more work, and sometimes less - it keeps it simple to invoice a set amount. If this changes and the volume of work increases over time, I am of course happy to alter this agreement.

Applicants MUST have a working knowledge of the games industry - a history of multiplayer games is a bonus and PC gaming knowledge is ideal.

The tone of posts is informal, but must remain professional - that means that game-centric words like 'noob' or 'owned' are perfect, but using swear words or racial slurs will not be tolerated.

Most of the time it is possible to translate my English text word-for-word, but if this is not the case, you may find it preferable to take the overall 'message' of a post and tell it in your own words. The quality of the translation is the most important factor.

Please let me know if you are interested and I will forward along 5 sample posts for you to translate. I will go over these posts with my company and the company we work with in order to determine if we think you would be a good for this ongoing role.

Many thanks.
