Looking to build up small database of English-Spanish translators. It will be for ad hoc translations of daily blogs.
Preference given to castellano native speakers. All those who make the final selection will be asked to do a short
......translation <100 words so I can check style/ability. This is for a charity cycle ride. The style should be professional and friendly using tu/vosotros/vosotras rather than usted/ustedes, Accents and tildes must be used (Málaga and not Malaga etc)
It is likely to be a 10/15 minute translation most days. As this is an inconvenient arrangement for many, I will expect to have 3/4 on call and you "shout" if you are able to do it on that particular day.
PLEASE do not bid if you are an agency. I am looking for a 121 relationship with ONE individual. MUST speak/write castellano and preferably live in Spain.
OK, I now have 31 bids. I will NOT use an Agency and have decided that I will only use a native Spanish speaker who is living and working in Spain and who I can work with on a daily basis over several months. This helps me with time zones and styles. I will be writing to perhaps 5/6 of you on Wednesday and asking whether you are prepared to do a basic 100 word translation to check your abilities.
Guys, a hint Spanish and English are ALWAYS written with the "S" and "E" in upper case.
