Seeking Fin-Eng translator for trial period for a 5 million words project
- Status Closed
- Budget N/A
- Total Bids 2
So, as you can see, this is a potentially huge project. Which calls for a few things... you need to be professional and communicative.
If something is wrong, let us know! That problem might just be in your head (whether it be that you've made a mistake, that
you think will cost you the project; if you just say it, it might prove to be "nothing").
Whatever formal things you have that you feel could improve your chances, bring them up! But that also goes for anything
informal; like personal qualities, ambition, character traits, values and - especially - communication. If you just send over a
sheet of facts, you're not going to get the job; regardless of how impressive those facts may be -- you need to be able to explain
why you are a good translator and person to work with.
Of course, things need to be professional both ways.. No one is going to ask you to translate 5
million words before getting paid. Or 1 million, 100 000 or 50 000. Not sure what the milestones will be, but we'll be reasonable
From you, I'd like any formal stuff you have, especially related to you as a translator - like diplomas, certificates and things like that -
motivation for why you should be chosen (and if it its something copy+pasted, or something that looks like it is, you're not going to be
chosen). Even better would be an audio clip of you talking about these things. But, if - forevery reason - you can't, or don't want to, do
that that's okay; it's not necessary.Get free quotes for a project like this
