Thank you for taking the time to review my proposal. I believe that the secret to a successful translation is having a thorough understanding of the source text and knowing how to convey its essence in a way that sounds natural to the reader, as if it were originally written in his or her language. For this reason, every project is either translated or proofread by a native speaker of the target language, and whenever possible, a native speaker of the source language is also involved in the process. Additionally, any necessary revisions are already included in my fee. Rather than charging by the hour, I prefer to charge by the word, so for this project, I propose a flat fee of $150, which I would bill as 10 hours at $15 per hour.
