Project Description

I have several video files (totaling about 9 GB, [url removed, login to view] hours) of an actor speaking about 1610 words or phrases (snippets) from a script. You'll have a copy of the script with the list of snippets and the file name for each (the list is in the same order the actor read them in.

There may be some snippets where the actor did a "retake" and re-recorded the snippet so you'll need to pay attention for that. (We think that only happened about 20 times or so). The files is in mp4 format.

You'll need to split the video into these snippets and trim each snippet to the right length if there is a long pause between snippets (trimming out the long pause from the beginning or end of a snippet.

The names you use for the "snippets" *must* be exactly what we provide in the list. A computer program loads and plays the sound files using the names in the spreadsheet to they *must* all be speller right. You muse use Copy and Paste to name them. You also need to listen for any snippets that have a problem (background noise, sound or video are fouled up, etc.) and note those files by creating a column in the list (spreadsheet) of files we provide and putting a "1" in that column. (That way we can sort on that column to find all the files that have problems).
So, include time to *double check your work*

Do you have high speed internet?
Do you have a way to automatically take a video that you've separated into scenes and convert that to individual files (one file for each scene)?
Based on my experience if you have to manually do a "File Save As" for each snippet it'll increase the number of hours this will take by 200 to 300%.
How many calendar days will this take roughly?
(I.e., if you start on Day 1 how many days do you think this will take you to finish.)

#1 First 20 files (so we can see how you're doing with it.)
#2 Finished the first 25% of the total files.
#3 First half of the files: 30% of the total [url removed, login to view] of the files: remainder of the bid.

I need to do some pre-editing to remove some long blank sections and prepare the list of file names.

This is a fixed bid but my estimate of how long it'll take (which may help you make your bid ) is:

Review audio: [url removed, login to view]
Cut each snippet into a scene: [url removed, login to view]
Save each scene as a file: [url removed, login to view]
Name each file (per list): [url removed, login to view]
Review finished product to make sure name is right and scene is properly trimmed: [url removed, login to view]

Total estimate: 14h
