Project Description

Hello all! My name is Garrett and boy oh boy do I have quite the project for you! :D

For several years now, I have been working on a story that is finally going to see the light of day! As I reach the climax of the story and prepare for publication, I find myself in need of a video to promote the book along a wide array of social medias, namely YouTube, Facebook, and other such platforms. As my time is currently being consumed with finishing the story (and also with planning a wedding with my lovely and wonderful fiance), I have no breaks to actually do the video myself. That's where you come in!

The project I am proposing is a short 1 minute- 2.5 minutes long live-action video centered around the theme of the story. The book is about a little boy who finds a gateway to a magical land after hearing a story from his grandfather. Beyond this, and until a winning bidder is chosen, I will say nothing more. I would like for the video to be done in a format similar to what you would see in movie trailers. Please see the videos below for reference, as they are what I am looking for.

The winning bidder must be proficient in Directing, Editing, and After Effects (or Final Cut Pro) to be chosen. I will also need to see portfolios showcasing prior work. I will provide all source material (including sample chapters of the book) and a title graphic to be used in the video. ALL bids will be considered, as I prefer quality product over price, and as long as the bidders meet all guidelines (no animators please). Anyone whose only skills are computer animation will NOT be considered. Finally, IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION OF THIS PROJECT!! IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY DONE SO, PLEASE DO SO NOW!!!

Please keep in mind that the video will be used for commercial purposes, but the director will receive full credit for the video itself.

Well, that's about it. I look forward to working with you on this project. Good luck and happy bidding! :D
