I have an excel workbook that I've created to perform calculations for real estate markets. I download the data from a local listing service and then import it into my excel workbook. I then must manually separate the data and fix errors like blank values in cells. I need a Visual basic programmer to design the workbook to work more efficiently using VB macros and ensure that all the calculations are correct.
I've completed some of the calculations already to give you an understanding of how I want the data presented. It also gives you an understanding of what all the abbreviations in the TXT file mean.
Here is how the excel workbook should work:
1) There will be an extra button added to the toolbar. Upon clicking this button, you are prompted to select a txt file (comma delimited) to import.
2) The program then prompts for a date to be input. You can input a custom date or use current. This date transfers to cell H1 on the "Calcs" sheet and is the date used for all calculations.
3) After inputting a date the file is imported and the data is automatically split into the two worksheets "active" and "sold" based on their status.
4) All calculations on the "Calcs" sheet are completed and accurate.
I've attached the workbook and a sample txt file that I will be using to import. If you have any questions please post them PRIOR to accepting the job.
