Project Description

I need a demo application so that when a excel user enters data that it gets saved into an access database that is on a network drive.

The same application needs to be able to query the information from an access database to display in a different excel spreadsheet.

So, basically I need a demo of crud operations (create, review, update and delete) from excel to an access database using Visual Basic.

So, since this is a demo, I will randomly create some passing criteria.

Lets say that user 1 enters monthly sales total data for store 1 into an excel spreadsheet.

Lets say that user 2 enters monthly sales totals for store 2 into an excel spreadsheet

Both user 1 and user 2 use the same spreadsheet and setup.

Behind the scenes, their monthly sales data is being stored in an access database. The database consists of a store table and sales table.

The store table simply has a name and an id

Ther should be an excel spreadsheet with a name entry field with a button to create a store

After the store name and store is created a different excel spreadsheet would be populated with the name and is of the store with 12 places to enter the totals for every month of the year. If an amount is entered. The amount will be automatically stored in the database for that date.

The sales table has a store id, a date and an amount.

User 3 has a totally different spreadsheet which shows the totals of store 1 and 2

User 3 has a spreadsheet for store totals per month. User 3 has a spreadsheet for all totals.

Extra credit and bonus for somebody who can display the totals of both in a pie chart and a bar chart with the totals of store 1 and store 2

This may be a bad demo but the demo doesn't matter. All I care about is a demo of how todo insert update create delete from excel to access using Visual Basic. They key is that the access database needs to be located on a network drive.

Ill look forward to your bids and your comments because I'm not sure if this is a good enough demo project. Maybe you can think of something better to demonstrate crud how I want it.
