Using VBA in Excel, I need to be able to make an HTTPS POST request to a server.
Please note: I can already make a HTTP POST request using this code:
Set web = New WinHttpRequest
Const WinHttpRequestOption_EnableRedirects = 6
[url removed, login to view](WinHttpRequestOption_EnableRedirects) = True
[url removed, login to view] "POST", url, True
[url removed, login to view] "Content-Type", "application/x-www-form-urlencoded"
[url removed, login to view] "mydata=" & data
What I need is to be able to make an HTTPS request, i.e. with encryption.
I tried using "[url removed, login to view]" to specify a certificate for HTTPS, but was unable to make it work.
Please provide a working sample on how to make an HTTPS POST request in VBA.
Note: you don't need to use WinHttpRequest, that's just what I tried.
Please use any method which does the job, and provide a working sample plus installation instructions (if an external library such as CURL is needed, for example).
Hello. I have developed C++ code that sends something through HTTPS. I would able to compile it in ActiveX (or COM object) in order to call it from VBA. What do you thing about this solution? Also, I
