Securing Access 2007 Database

We need to secure our shared database (back end - MS Access 2007) Since we are facing data deletion that we are not able to trace, since the database is not secured. It seems some user is bypassing access and getting control over the navigation pane database over the LAN

Should we migrate to SQL? Is there any good solution to keep access secure enough, to avoid such a migration?

Thanks in advance for your replies to this matter.

It is better you migrate to SQL Server, although just using the Express Edition as one of the weakness of MS Access is your users know the physical path of MDB file and MS Access needs to have R/W permission on the fol More

There is a need to create user rights to your database. I have seen something like this before. However your LAN is the first problem.
