Project Description

Looking for a young, cheerful female voice to read a script comparing sports teams to credit unions. If there is any accent, it should be West Coast, not eastern or southern. The voice should appeal to men and women alike. It should also be professional quality recording. This will be used in a youtube video and I do not expect that it will be played on TV.

Please send a link or file of yourself reading the script below. I won't hire anyone unless I've actually heard the read. It doesn't have to be the final product, but just an example of how you'd sound reading exactly these words. If you choose, you can simply read the first couple of paragraphs.

Imagine that all of the fans of your favorite sports team became owners of the team – each one having a vote about the direction of the organization, each one sharing in the profits it earned, and each one bearing responsibility for ensuring the continuing health of the team. Imagine knowing that every player and coach was working on your behalf, and that you played a part in his/her success.

If you’re like most people, you’d cease to be just a fan and become more of an advocate. The distant suit in a box seat would be replaced by mobs of ordinary people with a whole lot to cheer for.

Well, that’s kind of like a credit union - the cooperatively owned alternative to traditional banks. Since you become an owner and shareholder when you open an account, you directly benefit from every success the credit union enjoys. The staff is working directly on your behalf, so you get better service. There are no outside shareholders to collect the profits, so you benefit from better rates and lower fees. Simply put, our owners – the people with accounts and loans - directly benefit when the credit union does well. Now that’s something to cheer about.
