Project Description

I'm looking for a website designer with experience in developing 'craigslist' like websites. I don't want to go into too much detail here about the idea, but can tell you a bit about what the website would need to do.

1. Plan for a large user base

2. Allow for users to upload information and media

3. Robust, accurate search function for all user-submitted ads / content

4. Ranking /feedback system - something like what ebay has, whereas users can leave feedback about other users

5. Incredibly simple interface; intuitive search functions - think Google home / search page simple

6. Ability to harness analytics / data

7. Ability to be built on with growth

8. Like Craigslist, ability to have 'hubs', so to speak. For example, I live in the Washington DC area. When I search for something, my 'hub' is Northern Virginia, Washington DC and Maryland. Hub may be the wrong word, but I think you get the point. Ultimately, whether or not the idea takes off, I'd like to start with one hub but have the ability to increase the website to cater to many such 'hubs'.

9. Payment processing system that takes information from users on both sides of a transaction. Ideally, users on one side of a transaction (those providing a service) would have account info (even if only paypal) on file. Users partaking in that service would enter credit card number or paypal info to close the deal. Percentage of transaction taken by me.

10. Ability to have both sides enter into contractual agreement via the website.

11. Users can send randomized emails to each other, like on craigslist. Anonymity reigns supreme.

I'm certain there is more, and am looking for a designer who also can make suggestions based on past experiences.

Any bidders must have references and current examples of work.

Thanks for considering!
