Project Description

Our company

We’ve been running a small footwear related e-commerce site for about 5 years now, and our website design and branding could use a refresh. We’re based out of Portland, OR, but also spend a fair amount of time in SF and LA and are open to working with people most anywhere on the west coast.

The brand

With this initial posting, we’d prefer to keep the exact details under wraps, but broadly speaking, this particular site/brand is more about comfort/fun/whimsy, than being cutting edge/fashionable. We skew slightly towards the female demographic, but certainly sell a lot of products to men as well.

The project

We need a logo design, color palette/scheme, and an updated website design. We’re looking for a design that is tailored and specific to our brand and appropriate for our customers. This is a project for a creative and thoughtful designer. We’re not looking for a re-packaged template, or a copy of another website. We’d like a concept that is tailored to our brand/market.

For the actual web design we’d want to at least cover the index page, menu page & navigation scheme, an individual product page, maybe an about/FAQ page, and then probably 1-2 other pages that I’m forgetting about and you should tell which ones I’m missing. We also have a blog/CMS component to the site where we post relevant content, updates, and such. A vision of how that would integrate with the site would be a bonus.

We’d want the design files delivered in a high resolution graphic format, probably as psd and/or esp files as appropriate, but generally just need them to be in a format that can easily be translated into actual webpages, and in the case of the logo, translated into print materials as well. It would be a bonus if you could actually deliver html files too.
