Project Description

We are in need of a graphic designer to redesign an international wedding accessories company's logo. The existing logo and product line can be seen at This logo needs an update; the owner feels that it no longer represents the beauty and diversity of her multiple product lines, that it is too gothic in feel. We want to move away from that look, which has been used for most of the company's 28-year history, to something more clean, feminine and evocative of the brand's beautiful products, high quality, attention to detail and importance in this extremely special event in a woman's life.

The scope of work is to design a logo for use in electronic communications including web site and social media, and also for print use (i.e. packaging, letterhead, collateral).

Design guidelines:

Two-color logo, clean, modern yet not trendy, feminine, no cursive, a floral or graphic element but not roses. Play up the E in Erica and the K in Koesler so we can have the option of an EK logo in addition to the full name (i.e., Vera Wang). The full legal name of the company is Erica Koesler Wedding Accessories and we need to use that in the logo.

We have a small file of tear sheets with logos we like and don't like, which we're happy to share. More details to come when awarded the job.

Timing: Bids received by Friday, Dec 7; job awarded by Monday, Dec 10; finished designs due by Dec 21.

Please send applicable work experience including design portfolio, and a reference. Please also list any capabilities in packaging design as we might have work in that area down the road.

Thank you!
